WEEK EIGHT OF TEACHING PRACTICE

This week was interesting because we held our student elections. The event was organized to teach students about the democratic process and the importance of voting. The students voted for their candidates, and got to know how elections are conducted. I felt happy to see the students take this seriously and participate actively.

I helped the sports teacher by entering student details into the sports site of the educational department. It was a new experience for me. I started a new chapter called "A Day in the Country." I made the lesson interesting by using multimedia and having discussions with the students. They asked questions and shared their thoughts about the characters. When the class got noisy, I used non-verbal cues like staring and a quiet signal to get their attention back. I also gave positive feedback to encourage them.

I helped my 8B students prepare for their assembly. I wrote some articles and the anchoring script in Malayalam since the assembly had to be in that language. On the day of the assembly, the students did a great job. They spoke confidently. I enjoyed the preparation time where my students spoke to me with so much love and treated me like their bestfriend.

I also enjoy talking with students during breaks and getting to know them better. I feel I have grown a lot since the start of my teaching practice.
